— Emergency Shelter
WRC has temporary emergency shelter for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking.
The Women's Resource Center began in 1975 after community leaders recognized a growing need for support services for women navigating major life transitions, including returning to school, entering the workforce, and rebuilding their independence. What started as small discussion groups and educational programming quickly evolved as more individuals turned to the organization for help. In response to increasing community needs, WRC expanded its services to include crisis intervention, advocacy, emergency shelter, rape crisis response, counseling, and prevention education for survivors of domestic violence, sexual violence, and stalking. Over the past five decades, WRC has grown into a cornerstone of support in the community, continually adapting its programs and services to meet the complex and evolving needs of survivors and their families.
