Community Education & Prevention

Building Safer Communities Through Education

Prevention begins with knowledge. Through education, outreach, and community engagement, the Women’s Resource Center works to increase awareness, challenge harmful beliefs, and promote healthy relationships throughout our community.

Our educational programs are available for schools, businesses, healthcare providers, faith communities, civic organizations, and community groups.

Educational Topics Include

  • Domestic violence awareness
  • Sexual assault awareness
  • Stalking awareness
  • Healthy relationships
  • Consent and boundaries
  • Teen dating violence prevention
  • Bystander intervention
  • Trauma-informed responses
  • Community resources and support services

Professional Training Opportunities

We also offer specialized training for professionals who work with survivors or who want to strengthen their understanding of trauma-informed practices. Trainings can be customized for healthcare providers, educators, social service professionals, law enforcement personnel, community leaders, and workplaces.

Together, we can build safer, more supportive environments for everyone.
